Kettering Park Hotel & Spa is truly delighted to be welcoming back guests after a long year of uncertainty for everyone.
During the lockdown the hotel has been very busy and has made many changes to share with guests that need to be experienced in person.
The outdoor dining space, or al fresco area, has been restyled so guests can be outside but cosy for the early summer months. It’s the perfect hot spot, with views of the landscaped gardens. Faux sheepskins, blankets and really good heaters are provided for when the sun goes down, but the conversation continues.
The gardens are looking really special this year and have plenty of tables and deckchairs for the warmer days and, of course, guests can visit for meals, just drinks, or both. The Warner’s gin range plus Fever-Tree tonics await, as well fabulous wines, fizz of all kinds and a range of Thwaites real ales.
The dining area is open for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea offers a new selection for 2021 and the pastry section of the kitchen have been busy redesigning the spread to include seasonal cakes and pastries and an indulgent chocolate truffle as well as the hotel’s very own recipe fruit cake, and the must-have – warm scones, clotted cream and preserves.
On other food matters, a new summer menu written by executive chef Steve White using local ingredients will be served from May 17 when, if everything goes according to plan, the restaurant will be open for indoor dining. Entertainment will be introduced on Saturday evenings with a high-quality singer and a musician with style, showcasing local talent. This event promises to be very popular, so it’s worth making sure you book your table as soon as possible.
Sunday lunches will also be back from May 23, with a weekly-changing seasonal menu. The selection always features the best quality roasted sirloin of beef, supplied by butchers, Potters of Stanwick, and carved at the table.
More information and menus are available on their website.
For those moments of pure bliss, the Spa is also open for new members, and various memberships packages – suited to different requirements including senior, off peak, peak and student memberships – can be taken out.
There’s a good size pool that’s not just for splashing around in, where members can choose to swim some lengths or just float and forget. And if that’s not enough relaxing, or to unwind after a strenuous swim, there’s a sauna, steam room and spa pool for vigour and vitality, so everyone can leave refreshed.
In the fitness rooms, there’s a wide range of machines for to suit any routine and a studio with mats for stretching.
The hotel’s beauty therapists are also back and waiting to give guests those well-earned treatments. Spa days that can incorporate a treatment, afternoon tea and swim or simply a chance to relax round the pool can be booked. To enquire, contact email@example.com
