More supporters are set to follow Bedford Blues on the road this season after a new initiative was set up to encourage easier and cheaper transportation to matches across the country.
All seats on Bedford Rugby Followers Association coaches to away matches for the remainder of the season will cost just £10 following the announcement of this new initiative.
The Followers, whose main aim is to help supporters travel up and down the country in support of Bedford Blues, have worked in conjunction with fellow supporter group, Friends of the Blues, to provide this unique opportunity.
Locations still to come in the season include Caldy, Nottingham and Doncaster; while closer to home there’s trips to Cambridge and Ampthill.
There are two ways to book a seat on a Followers Coach:
- Pop into the Followers Office on any given home matchday (located near the main gates at Goldington Road) and speak to a member of the committee.
- Contact Followers Fixtures Secretary Margaret Appleton and book your places.
Bedford Blues Captain, Alex Day said:
“Never underestimate how important support for the boys is, whether that be at home in Goldington Road or on our travels. Sometimes we have had more away support than home fans on our travels and it really does mean the world to us.
“We encourage anyone interested to get in touch with the Followers and join a fantastic, family friendly environment with likeminded people. We look forward to seeing everyone at a matchday soon, whether home or away.”
