On Thursday 25th February, after an unpredictable year, we came together to celebrate the best of Northamptonshire’s Business Community.
The Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards shines a spotlight on the hard working, talented teams in our county, the people who work hard for our community and those who inspire others.

Our Apprentice of the Year will have shown an outstanding willingness to learn and demonstrated an ability to rapidly progress within their organisation. They will have made a notable contribution and impact on the business, while having an enthusiastic and positive influence on the wider team. They will have excelled in their area and shown a desire to progress within the business or industry, taking on additional responsibilities. This award will put a spotlight on the stars of the future.
They don’t come along every day, but every so often the business community gains individuals who carve out a legacy that influences, evolves or sometimes even defines an industry. A person with vision who can lead and inspire others to deliver on their dreams and business objectives. This award will celebrate the business leaders of Northamptonshire, who show passion and have made substantial impacts in their fields.
Marketing campaigns that delivered impressive results on their objectives will be showcased, as will campaigns that have been well thought out, with creativity and originality. This campaign may have produced some market disruption or could have had a social impact or influenced change. Was it the tipping point that created rapid growth or broke into a new market, perhaps a clever approach that created a niche or contributed to diversity. This award will show off the work of our most creative minds.
Responsible developments are key to the success to our county. These ambitious projects are integral to the long term success of our local communities, allowing for expansion and playing a key role in attracting and retaining our future workforce. We look to recognise projects that have delivered on sustainability, showing consideration to the environmental impact, while still excelling in their design and innovation. This award will highlight the substantial projects that have been completed throughout the county.
With a recent local resurgence within the sector, our county has some amazing establishments, producers and suppliers, some large and some small. This year we’re on the hunt for significant contributors who have made an impact and influenced the industry. Someone who has shown innovation and growth through new products, a new offering or breaking into new markets, all while benefiting the local community. This award will showcase a host of recognised successes from around the county.
This award celebrates organisations that include, but are not limited to, the legal and accountancy sectors. We will be looking for businesses that have shown an amazing ability to modernise and adapt their services and product offerings in this evolving sector. These companies will have delivered consistently stand-out customer experiences, while demonstrating commitment to the industry by having an outstanding approach to training and development. This award will be challenged by organisations that have won notable deals, excelled in their sector and are on an impressive growth journey.
At a time where businesses are innovating at an accelerated pace, we will be looking for a company that can demonstrate how it has innovated a new product or solution that’s revolutionised their business or organisation by the use of technological advances. It will have had a meaningful social or financial impact, while showing originality and imagination. This award will bring together projects that have turned heads through creative brilliance.
We are looking to recognise a project or person that is truly special. This could be a project that has directly and dramatically impacted the community, one that has shown purposeful results on delivering on its objectives. Or a person who has shown a selfless devotion to a cause or community organisation over a sustained period, somebody that has continued to serve their community through devotion and care. This award will showcase the amazing communities and individuals within our county.
