Merger further solidifies position in the region

Top 15 accountancy firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson has announced it has finalised a deal to merge its Milton Keynes operations with Keens Shay Keens MK LLP (Keens) - a well-established accountancy firm based in Milton Keynes.

The deal further solidifies MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s position in the region, creating a larger office of nearly 100 partners and professional staff with a turnover in excess of £7 million.

Paul Davis, Mark Rayner and Liz Newell will all become partners in MHA MacIntyre Hudson.

Paul was integral to growing and establishing KSK’s client base and reputation in MK since its opening in 1986. The firm has a core focus on UK subsidiaries of overseas companies, and UK based privately owned businesses, having been based in the area since 1946.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson has had a presence in MK since 1975, occupying its current location for the past 35 years, with Steve Moore, Laurence Whitehead and Martin Herron being integral to the development of the office. The office has built a significant client base within the Legal, Real Estate, Manufacturing and Tech sectors, and also houses the firms Motor Team, led by Steve Freeman, which has become one of its largest sectors.

Tax Consultancy and Employment Tax are two of the specialisms that have grown the firm’s reputation in the area. Gareth Peters, who leads the regional Tax Team has become well known for producing successful outcomes on highly complex matters, particularly within corporate restructures, IHT matters and R&D claims. Nigel Morris, Employment Tax Director, works with many major national and international businesses as well as SME and OMB businesses.

VAT Consultancy is the other specialism MHA MacIntyre Hudson can offer clients which separates it from other firms. Glyn Edwards who previously worked at HMRC supports taxpayers through the difficulties of enquiries and appeals and has led several landmark cases through the high courts.
