A night of Bavarian entertainment is taking place at the Brewhouse & Kitchen in Milton Keynes on Thursday 10th October. The event is being hosted by MKPCN, a networking group for property and construction professionals, and will run from 5.30pm – 8.30pm. It will feature an Oompah band and attendees can enjoy traditional German food and beers whilst networking with like-minded individuals from the property & construction industry.
MKPCN was born just over two years ago when two companies from Milton Keynes - Aureum Finance and Aleron Contractors – had a chat about how they struggled to meet ‘relevant connections’ at networking events. Aureum Finance is an independent finance broker that specialises in all forms of property finance and Aleron Contractors is a commercial building contractor. They wanted to meet people they could potentially work with so decided to create their own group. Dean Brown, Managing Director at Aureum Finance, said: “I remember travelling home from London with Tony Rice and we had been to some networking meetings that day that didn’t have any relevant connections for us. We talked about the need for something more local to us, particularly with the high profile development of the Oxford to Cambridge arc, in which MK is the central point.”
Tony, Sales & Marketing Director of Aleron Contractors adds: “We contacted other like-minded individuals in MK and asked them to join us in inviting their contacts to a networking meeting for property and construction professionals throughout the region.”
MKPCN was born and Dean and Tony were joined by co-sponsors, Lisa Mantle, Partner at Howes Percival, Nick Stafford, Regional Director at WYG MK and Martin Castleton, Sales Director at Towergate Insurance and the first meeting attracted 40-50 people. Now the quarterly meetings regularly attract more than 100 property & construction professionals.
