Hospitality venue kicks off again

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce that The Burrow at the Blues has reopened as the Government continues to ease of COVID-19 restrictions.

The latest stage in the roadmap out of lockdown, which began on April 12, allowed the reopening of pubs and restaurants with outdoor service only, allowing The Burrow to reopen its doors and serve the people of Bedfordshire. Head to their website to see the latest food menu and drinks options.

All bookings must be made in advance online and must adhere to the Blues’ Risk Management Plan and government’s latest guidelines; meaning a maximum of six people or two households until government restrictions ease further. Social distancing rules remain in operation at the venue.

The reopening of The Burrow will not allow supporters to watch the upcoming Championship matches against Richmond or Ealing Trailfinders at Goldington Road. Opening hours on Blues matchdays will be altered to suit, as all games must continue to be played behind closed doors.

The Burrow at the Blues will be open at the following hours on non-matchday weekends:

  • Thursday: 5pm – 10:30pm
  • Friday: 5pm – 11pm
  • Saturday: 12pm – 11pm
  • Sunday: 12pm – 8pm

A fully heated and seated venue, The Burrow at the Blues will have numerous other COVID-19 related safety measures in place, including multiple hand sanitising stations and a strict entrance and exit system.

The venue offers a socially distanced and relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy, including a street food inspired menu alongside drinks from The Imperial Bar, featuring a wide selection of spirits, wines, draught products and softs.

Access to The Burrow will only be permitted through the Bushmead Gate, opposite Bushmead Road. Unfortunately, there will be no parking available inside Goldington Road.
