Air source heat pumps contribute to local housebuilder being crowned ‘Best Medium New Housing Development in the East Midlands’ at the LABC Building Excellence Awards.
Local housebuilder, Grace Homes, has once again beaten other housebuilders in the region and been crowned ‘Winner’ at the coveted LABC Building Excellence Awards.
Grace Homes’ development The Orchard in Swinford triumphed over finalists across the East Midlands to be awarded the title of ‘Best Medium New Housing Development’. This follows similar success in 2020 when its Langdale development in Thorpe Langton was awarded ‘Best Small New Housing Development’ in the East Midlands.

The nine new homes were designed to complement existing buildings in the local area and exceeded building regulations by including energy-saving features such air-source heat pumps as standard.
Henry Barney, Managing Director of Grace Homes, said:
“Despite the obvious challenges faced over the last year, our team has stepped up to the mark once again. To receive the title of ‘Best New Housing Development in the East Midlands’ for the second-year running is a great reward for everyone’s hard work.”
Charming developments such as The Orchard are what Grace Homes has built its name on over the years. All properties in this rural haven are now occupied, but thankfully more new homes will be available soon at similarly idyllic settings in Hallaton, Nether Broughton, and Brigstock.
The LABC National Building Excellence Awards ceremony will take place in London in January, where Grace Homes will be up against finalists from the other eleven regions.
