Celebrating success stories in an electric atmosphere

In a first for the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA), organisers are receiving regular requests from businesses across MK who are keen to get involved in the 2023 awards.

Scheduled to take place on March 23, 2023, three of this year’s key sponsors have already signed on the dotted line, pledging their continued commitment to the success of the Milton Keynes business community.

This year’s headline sponsor, Milton Keynes Council, premium sponsor All Things Business, and category sponsor dbfb will all back the awards for another year and there are a large number of previous supporters who have already expressed their interest in being involved again as well as a few newbies.

If you’re considering sponsoring the awards, Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Business, offers some insight into the benefits…

You’ve been a media partner for a number of years Ben, but in 2020 you decided to sponsor the VIP drinks reception, this year you sponsored the Lifetime Achievement Award and we’ve just signed you up to support the awards again in 2023. Why?

Since we launched All Things Business Milton Keynes in 2019, we’ve been keen to connect with companies, to share their news and deliver an interesting and informative magazine, that showcases the wide spectrum of businesses that exist in MK.

For anyone that has ever attended MKBAA, you’ll know that it is the one place that guarantees you’ll meet Milton Keynes businesses and individuals who are at the top of their game. The article on the following pages is evidence of that. Sponsoring the awards is not only a great way for us to get our name in front of those people, but also an opportunity for us to support the future growth and maximise opportunities for the incredible talent we have here in Milton Keynes.

How do you feel the awards benefit local businesses?

Aside from the fantastic networking opportunity, the awards give businesses a chance to review, reflect and celebrate their own achievements and the successes of their peers. It strengthens working relationships and sparks a sense of team spirit. Not to mention the number of exciting PR and social media opportunities that result from being shortlisted and/or winning.

What’s your favourite part of the glittering awards ceremony each year?

The buzz! I think that’s the best way to describe it. Whether we’re 600-plus in the ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton, with a waiting list of those who desperately wanted a seat, but weren’t quick enough to book; or a roomy 700 at the Arena MK, as we were in 2020, just ahead of lockdown, the atmosphere is always electric. There’s just an undeniable sense of community and everyone is excited to let their hair down and really celebrate with their friends and colleagues. We’re already counting down to MKBAA 2023!
