Building and growing a business means that there will inevitably be a great number of ups but also quite a few downs. And when your business finally reaches a level of success after years of hard work, or you create an amazing product or service your clients can’t stop talking about, of course you wouldn’t mind being celebrated and recognised for that! And that’s where awards come into the picture.
Awards and competitions give businesses, their people and their teams, the opportunity to be celebrated for their achievements within the community.
Awards are considered one of the most effective ways to raise a business’s profile, gain trust from potential customers and to increase brand awareness. But which awards would suit your business?
NBEAs
These recognise exceptional businesses and the people who work within them, companies large and small, from those that have been founded and grown within the county to global organisations that have established a local base. The NBEAs shine a spotlight on hard-working, talented teams, the people who contribute so much to the local business community and those who have inspired others over the years.
This year, the awards event will be hosted by actor, comedian and TV presenter, Paddy McGuinness and will take place on Thursday November 10 at the County Ground in Northampton. The NBEAs have 14 amazing categories including Marketing Campaign of the Year, Business of the Year and the Sustainability Award.

Northamptonshire Logistics Awards
For businesses in the logistics industry, these are the ideal awards to enter, celebrating as they do the success of everyone, at every level, working in this key sector in the county.
Logistics is a sector that is often overlooked, but is key to the success of virtually every profitable business. Successful supply chains increase the sales and profits of any business that deals with the production, shipment, warehousing and delivery of products – all the more reason to ensure that the people within this industry are recognised and celebrated.
This year, The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards shine a spotlight on 13 categories including Logistics Person of the Year and Small Logistics Company of the Year, and will be held on Friday September 16 at the Park Inn Radisson, Northampton.

NEAs
Education is an important part of every child’s life – it creates stability and helps to improve the quality of not only their lives, but also the communities and societies around them. In recognition of that important role, these awards are an opportunity for educators and support teams from across the sector to be recognised for their hard work.
The NEAs celebrate fantastic schools, departments and individuals. The awards shine a spotlight on the hard-working and talented teams in our county and the people who work so hard for our community. The NEAs include 12 great categories including Primary School of the Year, English Teacher or Team of the Year and the STEM Award.
This year, the NEAs will be held at the Park Inn Radisson, Northampton, on November 11.

Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards
This annual competition, with Weetabix as its headline sponsor, is run by the food and drinks industry for businesses within the sector. The awards celebrate all that is great about local produce and drink, recognise excellence within the county’s dining venues and reward those who work so hard within the culinary sector.
The awards not only celebrate achievements, they also provide long-lasting support through individual mentoring, training, and business and marketing support. Definitely an awards event for anyone in the food and drink industry.
This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton, on October 20.
