The past year has been an exciting one for everyone at McManus Pub Company, particularly with the launch of MPG Events, and we’re gearing up for more of the same in 2026 when we really get down to promoting the amazing range of facilities we have to offer.
My main goal in the new year will be to bring the best of McManus to businesses across the region and help them make the most of our venues, which range from traditional country pubs through to large meeting spaces and the likes of Barratts Club in Northampton, which is capable of holding up to 400 people.
MPG Events gives organisers the opportunity to choose from a range of different spaces. Barratts Club, of course, as well as The Brampton Halt, The Red Lion in Brafield-on-the Green, The Swan at Lamport, The Montague Arms in Barnwell, and The Sun Inn at Hardingstone. We’ve also got The Wig & Pen, The Thomas A Becket and Shipmans in Northampton town centre, and The Bull Hotel and Old George in Stony Stratford.
The venues are perfect for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and wakes – but they’re also ideal for a corporate clients looking to host meetings, team building days or simply to entertain colleagues, customers and associates.
Our message is Think Differently, to see the potential in hosting events at a venue where business and pleasure can mix. So many occasions lend themselves to a combination of professional business space – meeting rooms, TV screens, projectors and audio-visual equipment – along with somewhere comfortable and relaxing that gives everyone the chance to socialise and enjoy a drink and a meal.
No matter what the occasion is we’ve got the perfect locations and we’ve put together a range of packages to make it easier for organisers to book and arrange.
Corporate gold, silver and bronze packages range from £69.95 per person to £137.95 per person, and we also have referral offer where anyone referring a business for a booking of more than 50 people will receive a £50 McManus voucher by way of a thank you. Outside of our packages, we also offer a low day delegate rate of £35 per person which includes room hire, breakfast, lunch and refreshments at any of our venues.
So, with lots to talk about and plenty of information to impart, my goal next year will be to meet more people, build new relationships and generally get even more involved with the Northamptonshire business community.
We’re going to start with a programme of networking events, beginning on January 13 at The Bull Hotel in Stony Stratford followed by a Winter Social at Shipmans in Northampton on January 22, in addition to the monthly Business Buzz meetings at Barratts Club.
