The HR Shake-Up: Experts Unite to Help Businesses Prepare for 2026

Businesses across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas are being invited to attend a free expert-led seminar on Tuesday 24 March 2026 exploring the future of employment law, workforce retention and artificial intelligence in HR.

Hosted jointly by Franklins Solicitors and Quest Employment, The Employment Evolution – Law, Loyalty and AI will bring together legal, recruitment and technology specialists to help employers prepare for significant workplace changes.

Taking place from 9:15am, the event is aimed at HR Directors, business leaders, senior managers and anyone responsible for people strategy, compliance or workforce planning. Tickets are free, but spaces are limited and early booking is advised.

Preparing for the Employment Rights Bill

Leading the legal update will be Sara Marshall, Associate Partner at Franklins Solicitors, alongside Employment Solicitor Georgia Harris. Their session will provide a clear and practical overview of the forthcoming changes under the Employment Rights Bill and what organisations need to do now to prepare.

Speaking about her session, Sara Marshall said: “The Employment Rights Bill represents the most significant shift in employment law legislation we have seen in more than 30 years. The scale of reform means employers cannot afford to take a ‘wait and see’ approach.

Many of the proposed changes will require businesses to review contracts, policies and internal processes well in advance of implementation. Our aim with this seminar is to give organisations a clear understanding of what is coming and the practical steps they should be taking now to ensure they are fully prepared.”

Tackling Retention in a Competitive Market

Bea Ukaye of Quest Employment will deliver a session focused on employee retention strategies in today’s competitive labour market. Her presentation will explore how businesses can build loyalty, reduce turnover and strengthen workforce engagement at a time when attracting and retaining talent remains a significant challenge.

Bea commented: “Retention is one of the biggest pressures facing employers right now. Recruitment is costly and time-consuming, so organisations need to focus just as much on keeping and developing the people they already have.

By combining legal insight with practical retention strategies and an understanding of emerging technology, this event gives business leaders a well-rounded view of how to build a resilient and future-ready workforce.”

AI in HR – Opportunities and Impact

Rounding off the seminar, Tim Davies of Projekt Rising will examine the growing role of artificial intelligence in HR. His session will explore how AI is transforming recruitment, performance management and workforce analytics, while also addressing the ethical, legal and practical implications for employers.

Explaining the decision to include an AI-focused session, Bea added: “AI is already reshaping the way HR teams operate – from candidate screening to data-driven decision making. Employers need to understand both the opportunities and the risks. Bringing in an AI specialist ensures attendees leave with a broader perspective on how technology will influence workforce strategy in the years ahead.”
