A forward-thinking accountancy company has undergone a restructure and taken on new staff to further enhance the support it offers to growing SMEs.
Rushden-based accountants, Elsby & Co, has strengthened its audit team, which is headed up by Partner Leona Bateman, and in the coming months the firm will welcome two more trainees to its ranks.
The company has also recently recruited accountant Jack Chesney and is also looking to recruit another qualified accountant. By the end of year it expects its team will have grown to around 40 members of staff.
Elsby & Co Managing Director Claire Emery said: “We’ve grown our team and implemented a new structure so we can further enhance our clients’ experience of working with us.
“Expanding our team is enabling us to provide even better support to growing SMEs which have outgrown accountants that provide ‘tax-only’ support and are looking for an accountant who can offer them a joined-up finance function.
“Our comprehensive team provides a full range of services including bookkeeping, accounts, auditing, payroll and management reporting. This means that we’re built for long-term partnerships and can offer all-year round support to our clients, not just support with compliance matters.”
New trainees, James De St Aubin and Pippa Warriner, are joining the firm after taking part in its work experience programme which was launched by Elsby & Co’s Head of Operations Ann Phillips as part of the company’s commitment to securing and developing the brightest new talent in the field.
Claire added: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming four more work experience students in July for two weeks.
“Our work experience programme has been very successful at helping us to build a strong recruitment pipeline as evidenced by the fact that we have James and Pippa joining us this year and also have three other established staff members who all did work experience with us prior to joining our company.”
