A web design and digital marketing agency in Milton Keynes is reaping the rewards of a partnership with a local accountancy firm.
Red Giraffe, which is based in the MK Business Centre, started working with N-Accounting after being let down by its two previous accountants. Company director Joe Gilbert was looking for an accountancy practice that, as well as filing returns, could also get to know the business and offer bespoke, tailored financial advice and guidance and was struggling to find that level of service.
After meeting at a networking event, N-Accounting’s managing director, Nishi Patel, and Joe decided to sit down and have a conversation and see if Nishi could help.
“When we first sat down to discuss how we could help Red Giraffe it became clear that they were feeling a little bruised by their experience with other accountants,” said Nishi.
“They were a young, agile business that was developing a strong reputation in the market and wanted some support. Their first accountant had not met their expectation of support and was simply filing returns. They moved to a new accountant that had promised more but was delivering very little of the service they wanted. So, naturally, they were a little concerned about a third move.
“After talking with Joe, it was clear that we could really work with them to not only provide accountancy services, but also the advice and guidance in financial matters that they had been expecting from their previous accountants.”
Since then, the two companies have been working together and Nishi has become an extension of Joe’s team, supporting him as his business grows. In fact, Red Giraffe has grown by 300% and doubled the size of its team since the two companies started working together.
“When we work with clients, we understand that a website for a business is more than just setting up a few pages, we produce bespoke solutions that really work for our clients,” said Joe. “Unfortunately, previously we had always been unable to find an accountant who could match our proactive attitude.
“The experience of working with N-Accounting compared to other accountants couldn’t be better. If I have a question, I get an answer. That’s all I really wanted in the past. They have also really have taken the time to get to know my business and what we hope to achieve. They have helped me with everything from regular accounting processes through to helping me arrange a mortgage. The advice and guidance they offered during the pandemic and the support in forecasting our business growth has just been fantastic.”
