Briggs & Forrester Living have secured the MEP contract on the latest phase at Middlewood Locks in Manchester for developer Scarborough Group International. Working in collaboration with contractors BCEGI, Briggs & Forrester Living will deliver the design and installation of the mechanical, electrical and public health services to Blocks G and H which contain over 500, one, two and three bed apartments across two 9 and 10 story blocks.
The new £1bn residential project Award Winning Middlewood Locks promises an environment in which residents can live, work and relax. The vibrant waterside mixed-use development will provide 2,215 new homes and 900,000 sq. ft. of commercial development space including offices, a hotel, shops, restaurants, a convenience store and gym.
The first phase was completed in 2019 and over 600 residents have already moved in to their homes and are enjoying living in the new neighbourhood. The second phase will see the addition of four separate buildings of up to ten stories featuring private residents podium gardens.
