This year marks 40 years since Hawsons opened its office in Northampton, its second office in the UK alongside the Sheffield office, and to be followed four years later by the creation of the Doncaster office.
When the Northampton office was established in 1986, the world of business was very different. Computers were a rarity, conversations were in person and formal communication was carried out by post. A lot has changed since then, but Hawsons’ core purpose remains the same: to be the independent, go-to expert advisers that successful businesses can rely on.
Over the years, the firm has supported established companies through growth, transition and succession. It has been a key sounding board, helping to make key strategic decisions for a number of businesses. As with any business, it has evolved as the needs of clients has altered.
