Creating unique and unforgettable occasions

From serving guests at some of London’s most illustrious venues to catering for weddings and events locally, to offering support to food charities and community organisations, Portfolio Events Catering is determined to make a difference.

Based in Kettering, Portfolio Events has over 20 years’ experience in creating innovative menus and seamlessly managing the logistics of an event to make everything from a family gathering to an awards dinner a truly memorable occasion.

Starting small, at a family-run farm in Northamptonshire, the company has built a client base that covers not only the county but the surrounding areas, including Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, East Anglia and the Midlands.

Recently, it gained a listing with the Royal Maritime Greenwich, which includes such locations as the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, Queens House, and the Royal Observatory; Portfolio Events will be working with these impressive venues to cater for guests a host of events and celebrations.

Mat Norris, Managing Director of Portfolio Events, said: “It has always been our aim to create unique and unforgettable experiences for our clients and we’re proud to be growing our client base, and working with the likes of Royal Maritime Greenwich cements our place as a caterer of national repute.

“At the same time, we are never happier than providing something very special for local events, from weddings and family parties through to catering for local awards events like the Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards.”

Portfolio Events found itself on the receiving end of an awards ceremony recently, picking up both a National and Regional Winner award in the Caterer of the Year category at The 2025 Wedding Industry Awards.

For corporate clients, Portfolio can cater for anything from canapes for a drink’s reception or a buffet for a business meeting through to a formal dinner for a celebratory ball or awards ceremony. Menus are available for clients to select from, but the team is just as happy to sit down and discuss something bespoke, bringing all their experience and imagination to devising dishes that stand out from the crowd.

Alongside that, the company has, for some time, pledged to donate a charitable, home-made free meal through food charities such as The Hope Centre in Northampton, The Daylight Centre and Food 4 Heroes for every wedding breakfast it provides.

The company is recognised across the industry for using only the finest seasonal ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible, with menus drawn up and delivered by a committed kitchen team, backed up by dedicated event organisers and waiting staff. The team prides itself in delivering a professional service to clients and their guests, from a drink on arrival through to clearing up afterwards.

Portfolio Events butchers its own meat, while sausages and burgers are made by hand; there’s also a team of pastry chefs to create a delicious range of desserts, pastries and the company’s renowned chocolate brownies.

The team is trained in all aspects of event management, from first aid and allergens to food safety and fire marshalling, and customer service is, naturally, a major priority.

Mat added: “We have a team with vast and varied experience who get pleasure from being part of a memorable event – putting smiles on faces gives us a real buzz and we always go the extra mile to try to impress.

“But we also know that we have a responsibility to those in less fortunate and so we’ve made a commitment to providing nutritious meals for homeless people and families in food poverty, so we can let clients know that for every meal we serve to their guests, we deliver another to those who are in real need.

“It’s our aim to provide the best experience for our clients, so we’re always ready to open up a conversation about how we can make an event even more memorable.”
