Women’s team given timely boost

Managed IT & Communications provider, dbfb, have sent a clear message to the wider business community about the importance of supporting local sports teams when partnership opportunities arise.

The Moulton Park-based business has recently been announced as the front of shirt sponsor for Northampton Town Ladies, continuing its association with the club, where it is already the Development Squad sponsor.

The deal will help towards the cost of the women’s team, which is funded through the Northampton Town FC Community Trust, the charitable arm of the club that offers support within the community.

Sam Lee, Sales and Marketing Director at dbfb, said:

“We’re proud to be associated with our local sports teams who are at the heart of our communities. Before COVID-19 our local clubs relied upon the generosity and support from local businesses, now they need it more than ever.

“We are based in Northampton, and have been for over 20 years now, the town has given so much to dbfb over the years, it’s helped us grow through networking, word of mouth and recommendations. We are grateful to the community we operate in and so it is important for us to do something in return.

“Being involved in the women’s team is very exciting, particularly at the moment as they’re enjoying great success on the pitch. We’d encourage anyone who hasn’t watched women’s football to give it a go.”
