Getting down to the serious business of festive celebrations

When the business stops and it’s time to celebrate, Venue Cranfield pulls off a festive transformation, ready to welcome guests looking to party the night away and get into the Christmas spirit.

Best known for its business and conference facilities throughout the year, Venue Cranfield’s purpose-designed facilities are ideal for providing the space and facilities for Christmas party nights and excellent food, and two on-site hotels offering overnight accommodation for those who want to make the most of the occasion.

For Christmas 2023, Venue Cranfield is planning an evening to remember, with guests invited to enjoy a drink on arrival, followed by a three-course festive menu rounded off with tea, coffee and mince pies and plenty of Christmas novelties and crackers to add to the fun. Once dinner is over, there will be dancing to a DJ and disco.

The festive menu drawn up by the Venue Cranfield chefs offers something for everyone. Starters include smoked garlic and chestnut velouté, potted ham hock terrine with mini soda loaf and celeriac slaw and potted peppered mackerel with citrus salad and a malted grain tin loaf.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without turkey, and among the mains there’s a slow-roasted turkey ballotine, served with lemon and thyme stuffing, cranberry turkey gravy, crispy rosemary scented roast potatoes, maple-glazed parsnips, steamed Brussels sprouts and Chantenay carrots. For those who prefer something different, the mains choice also includes honey and wholegrain mustard pork shoulder with a parsley and white wine cream sauce, grilled cod loin with chervil and dill crust and a lemon butter sauce, or spicy festive Moroccan fruit and nut roast. All mains are served with the crispy rosemary scented roast potatoes, maple-glazed parsnips, steamed Brussels sprouts and Chantenay carrots.

To finish, Venue Cranfield’s traditional Christmas pudding with hot brandy sauce and a rum and raisin ice cream leads the way, or there’s a coconut and Belgian chocolate tart with a mixed nut and date base, or baked caramel apple pie with honeycomb ice cream.

Prices for the party nights start at £42.75 per person, and bed and breakfast rates are from £67.50.
