Have a ball – whatever your style of celebrating

Christmas is a time for partying – but it’s also time for getting together with family, friends and work colleagues to enjoy good food and good company in a warm and welcoming environment.

Kettering Park Hotel & Spa provides the best of both worlds. Its Christmas Ball party nights will be starting in a few weeks, providing guests with the chance to enjoy a three-course dinner with all the festive trimmings, followed by dancing to a DJ until the early hours. There are still some spaces left for the party nights, but that’s certainly not all that’s on offer, as throughout December, the hotel’s restaurant will be full of Christmas spirit, too.

A special Festive Lunch or Dinner menu has been put together by the head chef and the kitchen team and is perfect for every occasion, from a lunchtime catch-up with a friend to an office night out to celebrate the festive season in style.

Lunch is available Monday to Friday priced at £29.95 per adult or £14.95 for children under 12 years, and dinner Sunday to Thursday evenings at £34.95 per adult or £17.45 for children.

The starter selection includes caramelised onion and goat’s cheese tart and prawn and poached crayfish salad, while the mains feature slow-cooked aged blade of beef in a red wine, thyme and shallot sauce and crisp filo pastry vegetable Wellington with braised winter vegeta- bles and wholegrain mustard sauce. For the traditionalists, there is, of course, turkey, in the form of butter-roasted British turkey paupiette with streaky bacon, cranberry farce and rich pan jus.

Thwaites’ Award-Winning Ale sticky plum pudding with Baileys vanilla Anglaise is the perfect final touch, although the rich Belgian chocolate delice with crème Chantilly and raspberry for dessert is a tempting option, while those who prefer something less sweet, there’s a British cheese selection with artisan biscuits and cinnamon spiced apple puree.

The tables will be decorated in festive style but, with the hotel keen to reduce its carbon footprint, this year all the table novelties and crackers will be supplied by The Little Green Cracker Company, which means the crackers are sustainable, all single-use plastic has been removed from the tables, and everything is made in England and not imported.

Andrew Hollett, General Manager at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, said:

“Our large Christmas party nights are always very popular and sell out very quickly, but there are plenty of options for those who want something less lively as well.

“The hotel’s dining options as we approach Christmas are ideal for groups to meet up, and our location means it’s a fantastic base to enjoy time with family, friends or colleagues from further afield. We have a wonderful Festive Lunch and Dinner menu, and the a la carte menu is available throughout for those who prefer, while the bar area is ideal for those who just want to catch up for a coffee or a drink.

“And, of course, we have luxurious accommodation and a spa for those who want to stay overnight and make the event even more special.”

For a real family occasion, the first three Sundays in December will welcome a very special guest at the hotel’s Father Christmas Sunday Lunches. Already renowned for its Sunday lunch menu, Kettering Park Hotel & Spa have a special treat awaiting all children under 12 years when their lunchtime treat will include a visit and a gift from Father Christmas himself. The Father Christmas Sunday lunches are £36.95 for adults and £18.45 for children.

Pre-booking is required for all Christmas menus and a deposit of £10 per person required.
