One of Britain’s leading tenors will be entertaining a home-town audience when he performs at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa’s Proms At The Park in July.
Joshua Daniel is a renowned tenor and counter tenor as well as being an award-winning choral director, and will be singing at the event on July 5 at which guests will enjoy a three-course dinner as well as some prom classics and patriotic favourites.
Tickets are £65 per person and are now on sale through the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa website.
Joshua’s performances combine the power and softness that shows the versatility of his voice, it can fill a cathedral and it can still feel like he is singing just to you.
Joshua has sung in some of the most prestigious theatres, cathedrals and churches in the UK, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Ely Cathedral, The Actors Church, Covent Garden, Westminster Abbey, Peterborough Cathedral, Beverley Minster, Selby Abbey, Bath Abbey, Hull Minster and St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
He has received many awards over the years from festivals, competitions, recognition for his dedication to the arts and is also the Founder and President of North Northamptonshire Music Festival.
When Joshua isn’t performing, he is leading award-winning choirs in shows and competitions as a highly sought after musical director and adjudicator. He is currently Musical Director of five choirs and is often a stand in for other choirs in the area and further afield.
Joshua’s love and passion for music started at just nine years old when was being entered into local Eisteddfods. His passion for music followed on into his secondary education whilst securing numerous prizegiving awards at Brooke Weston Academy for his service to music within the academy. At the same time as studying for his GCSEs, Joshua was also undertaking music exams in piano and vocal development and achieved his Diploma in Music through The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music for Performance of Voice. Joshua then went on to study A Level music at Bishop Stopford School in Kettering.
Since Joshua’s schooldays he has formed numerous choirs and is a current award-winning Musical Director of The Wollaston Singers, Decibelles Ladies Choir, Vivace UK, Sound of Sirens Services Choir, Encore – Mixed Voices Choir and Sisters in Harmony.
Proms At The Park is just one of a number of events planned at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa this summer. On Friday July 12 there will be a Champagne Dinner where guests will enjoy a four-course dinner paired with champagne. Tickets are £125 per person.
On the same evening, there’s a Club Classics Disco with music from across the decades. Tickets are £35 per person and include a two-course meal.
Friday August 23 sees the Bank Holiday Extrabbaganza, with a live Abba tribute band and a Greek-inspired two-course meal. Tickets are £45 per person.
