Jewel in town’s cultural crown

Milton Keynes’ architectural gem – MK Gallery – opened in 2019 and has rapidly earned a reputation across the region for its exhibitions of contemporary and historic art and design, along with extensive public programmes.

But there’s more to this wonderful centrepiece than exhibitions. The building also houses an independent café and shop, a Curzon cinema, and boasts spectacular views right across the neighbouring park.

MK Gallery presents three major exhibitions each year across five elegant and spacious galleries. These range from thematic group exhibitions to in-depth solo presentations. Alongside the exhibitions, it offers music, dance, talks and conferences, mixing emerging and locally based talent with established names. The gallery also delivers a weekly film programme featuring the best of independent cinema in partnership with Curzon.

The café/bar opens at 10am, offering soups, salads and sandwiches, fresh coffee, and a selection of teas, mouth-watering locally made cakes and delicious afternoon teas, not forgetting a fantastic selection of wines and beers. Visitors can also choose from numerous vegan and gluten-free options, and the café offers free wifi.

With world-class exhibitions featuring cutting-edge contemporary artists and old masters in an iconic and critically acclaimed building, MK Gallery provides a unique and inspiring place for an event.

There are a range of rooms throughout the gallery to support a host of different events – from conferences to private receptions, weddings to Christmas parties, banqueting to barbecues, seminars to corporate team building, and everything in between.
