It’s time to start bringing people back together

Meetings and conferences are getting back to normal, social gatherings are beginning to feel more comfortable and it’s becoming increasingly difficult look back and remember how things were in 2020 and at the beginning of 2021.

Confidence is returning and 2022 is likely to be the year when we all feel we can cautiously put social distancing behind us and start to enjoy meeting people face to face once again and seeing friends, colleagues and customers away from the perils of Zoom and Teams.

And, after so long working remotely, the new year could well prove the ideal time to organise some team building sessions, fun challenges and away days to boost morale and get everyone working together again.

Kettering Park Hotel and Spa boasts an array of conference rooms and facilities that will work for any size of group, from a light and airy room for a one-to-one meeting to large spaces that will hold up to a maximum of 260, but which are easily adapted to still allow a little more distancing where required.

The hotel is ideally placed just off J9 of the A14, on the edge of Kettering Venture Park, so is handily situated for meetings with anyone travelling into the area. Those who are after something informal can meet in the bar and restaurant area for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just a coffee in between.

There’s also high-quality accommodation for overnight stays at the end of a busy day or attending an event, and room rates include full use of the well-equipped gym, spa with pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi, and beauty treatment rooms offering Caudalie and Jessica treatments. For non-residents, various memberships packages, suited to different requirements including senior, off peak, peak and student memberships, are available.

For meeting organisers, the hotel’s Conferences and Events team will be on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly. The recently refurbished meeting rooms have air conditioning, excellent wifi coverage, and are equipped with professional audio-visual equipment including flat-screen TVs. Hybrid meetings, where some delegates feel they want to join in remotely, or where travel is an issue, can be facilitated.

There’s a Day Delegate Rate starting at £35 per person, which includes room hire, a two-course hot and cold buffet lunch, unlimited refreshments and snacks, while the meeting rooms can be booked from £25 per hour or from £80 for the day and catering can be added where required, including use of the Conference Café. Because Conference Café is available throughout the day to access meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks, it means meetings can be run on a timetable to suit the organisers.
