Legend Will Be Special Guest At Anniversary Celebrations

Bedford Blues will be hosting a special anniversary evening in the CMC Marquee on Friday November 10 as 2003 Rugby World Cup winner and England legend Will Greenwood is guest of honour at Goldington Road.

The second highest scoring international centre of all time, Greenwood will be in Bedford to commemorate 20 years since England lifted rugby’s greatest prize in an unforgettable victory over Australia.

This event, kindly sponsored by Bullerwell Insurance, takes place following the conclusion of this year’s Rugby World Cup tournament in France. Will Greenwood will reflect on all the current points of discussion within the professional game as well as telling tales from his career and that special day.

Legend will be special guest at anniversary celebrationsTables of 10 are now available to purchase for £750 for the evening, which will start at 6.30pm, beginning with a three-course meal and an audio-visual display of Will’s career highlights before the man himself takes centre stage. The event will close with a Q&A session with Will.

Further entertainment will also take place throughout the night, alongside a raffle and an auction of some prized sports memorabilia.

A member of the successful 1997 British & Irish Lions tour of South Africa, Will began his career at club level with Preston Grasshoppers and Waterloo, before his move to Harlequins.

Moving to Leicester Tigers in 1996, Will spent four years at Welford Road before returning to Harlequins where he remained until hanging up his boots in 2006. In total, he made over 400 club appearances alongside winning 55 England caps and featuring on three Lions tours.

Since retirement, Will has remained a familiar face with punditry appearances on Sky Sports and terrestrial TV channels.
