Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football) has taken a significant step in its journey as an independent organisation by moving into a new, thoughtfully designed managed office space provided by MetSpace.
Located in Clerkenwell, the new 2,500 square foot office is now home to WSL Football’s growing team. The move marks the league’s first dedicated office since becoming independent last year and reflects its commitment to building a strong internal culture and identity.
Key requirements for the search included ample natural light, multiple meeting rooms, and a layout that could adapt to fluctuating team presence throughout the week. A central location with excellent transport links was also essential, given the team is spread across the UK.
“After researching our options and consulting with our agents, we realised a managed space would be the best fit for our needs,” said Georgie Acons, Head of Business Management at WSL Football. “MetSpace stood out for its flexibility and the support they offer growing teams like ours.”
The move represents more than just a change of address.
“This is our first office since setting up as an independent company and marks a significant step in our journey,” added Georgie. “It enables us to build on the foundations we’ve laid for our own identity and culture. Moving offices can be daunting for a small team, so having a managed provider like MetSpace to guide and support us has been invaluable. We’re excited to settle into our new home and continue growing from here.”
Ashley Diamond, chief operating officer at MetSpace, said: “We were pleased to support Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football) at such a key moment in their growth. The top flight of women’s football is going from strength to strength, and finding the right workspace to match the WSL’s needs was crucial. It’s been a pleasure working closely with the team to provide a space that reflects their ambitions and values.”
The Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) is one of the top two professional women’s football leagues in England, alongside the Barclays Women’s Super League 2. The Barclays WSL is made up of 12 clubs, with teams playing each other twice each season. The BWSL currently boasts more FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 players than any other league in the world.
The MetSpace senior team first introduced the concept of managed offices to the UK market in 1999. The company currently manages more than 50 floors across prime Central London locations. These appointments support the company’s ambition to lead the next era of managed offices with consistency, care, and clarity.
