Northampton-based insurance broker BHIB has announced it has joined the Clear Group in a move that heralds a ‘new chapter’ for the business.
The merger will see BHIB remain as an independent broker, providing the same high-quality services and guidance to businesses as it has for the past 50 years. It also gives the broker access to additional insurance markets for clients, as well as new markets for niche businesses that may have previously been difficult to access.
BHIB boasts a team of highly qualified professionals that help businesses across the UK review their risk, find appropriate insurance cover and handle claims – all with their own unique focus on support, advice and expert guidance.

The deal now means the group collectively handles over £200m in premiums and employs over 400 people across 10 offices. The combined business has strengths in property and construction, SME schemes, healthcare, professional and financial lines and mid-market corporate business.
