New robust service line will provide bespoke specialist solutions

In a strategic move, property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has announced the merger of its Building Consultancy and Project and Cost Consultancy divisions. This unification marks the creation of a singular, robust service line: Project and Building Consultancy.

The newly formed service line is designed to provide bespoke specialist solutions that span all technical aspects of property acquisitions, development, ownership, occupation and disposal. With more than 50 Chartered Surveyors and Chartered Project Managers operating from regional offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, LSH is well-positioned to offer comprehensive advice and support to investors, developers, and occupiers of real estate in all sectors.

Dudley Cross, National Head of Project & Building Consultancy, based in Milton Keynes, said: “We aim to provide reliable, proactive, value-enhancing advice. Our work encompasses a wide range of services including technical due diligence, project management, development services, the design and management of building refurbishment, specialist construction cost advice, party walls, dilapidations, insurance reinstatement and planned preventative maintenance programmes.”

The joining of teams further strengthens LSH’s delivery of Project Management, Contract Administration/Employers Agent, and Cost Consultancy services, with a particular focus on key sectors such as industrial, film and media, hotel and leisure, life sciences and automotive. This consolidation leverages the broad property experience and sector-specific knowledge of LSH’s Chartered Building Surveyors and Chartered Project Managers, backed by the extensive research, expertise, and resources of the LSH network.

By unifying these divisions, LSH aims to streamline its service offerings, ensuring clients receive the highest level of expertise and support throughout the life cycle of their property assets. This move underscores LSH’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the property consultancy sector, positioning the firm as a leader in delivering value-driven, client-focused solutions.

The power of integration

The combination of teams is not just a structural change; it represents a significant shift in how LSH approaches consultancy. By combining the expertise of building consultants with the precision of project and cost consultants, LSH aims to deliver a seamless service that covers all aspects of project management and building consultancy.

The newly formed Project and Building Consultancy service line will leverage the combined expertise of its team members. This merger brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience, fostering an environment where innovative solutions can thrive. The team will be able to draw on a broader range of skills and insights, ensuring that LSH remains at the forefront of the consultancy industry.

This merger aligns with LSH’s long-term strategic vision of providing unparalleled service and value to its clients. By breaking down silos and fostering collaboration, LSH is positioning itself as a leader in the consultancy field. The Project and Building Consultancy service line is a testament to LSH’s commitment to excellence and its proactive approach to meeting the evolving needs of its clients.

Looking ahead

Dudley Cross said: “Our Chartered Building Surveyors will continue to deliver the high quality services they do currently but by working directly with our Project Management and Cost Consultancy colleagues, we now have the ability to provide seamless continuity of service on larger scale, complex schemes. Where previously, our services may have been restricted to pre-acquisition, construction delivery or post occupation roles, we can now offer a fully combined and integrated service using best in class professionals.
