Dignitaries from across the UK and Europe gathered in one of the most historical and architectural gems in Northampton to celebrate the opening of the new Bosworth teaching facilities.
Built in 1915, the Newton Building, a prestigious Grade II listed former girl’s grammar school offers over 35 classrooms, music and art studios, a café, a sixth form hub, an IT laboratory and a magnificent grand hall – the facilities match the outstanding teaching, learning, and pastoral care at Bosworth Independent College, for which it is already known.
The relocation to the new site gives Bosworth unique opportunities for outreach and engagement with the local community, schools and businesses.
Attracting more than 100 students from over 30 nationalities each year, the college prides itself on high student satisfaction, academic and personal success from Year 7 all through to A-levels.
Speaking at the grand opening, Christopher Stacey, CATS Global Schools CEO, said:
“This inspiring campus provides the community here at Bosworth the opportunity to further embed its values.
“It’s the perfect environment to encourage each student to grow in confidence and cultivate a lifelong curiosity for the world around us. It’s the perfect environment to promote academic excellence strengthened by care and concern for those around us.
“It’s the perfect environment to encourage creativity, where everyone communicates enthusiastically, collaborates, and contributes to the community – not only at the school but also the vibrant and dynamic community here in Northampton.”
Talking about the benefits of the move, Jason Lewis, Principal of Bosworth, said:
“We received the keys to this building in May, and work quickly began to move all our teaching operations to the facilities here. Many of us worked countless hours to make sure we were ready to welcome our students for a September start. We are delighted to be returning the 46,500 square foot site to its former use as a school, offering a first-class education to the UK and international students.”
Each year, the group provides 18,000 students around the globe with the education they need to develop real-life skills for the future. CGS is dedicated to academic excellence and its students benefit from well-developed links to over 40 top global universities.
