The lettings department of estate agency Jackson Grundy has a new home. The team has moved in to the company’s branch on Kingsley Park Terrace in Northampton, setting up home with Jackson Grundy’s sales team, which relocated to the branch 18 months ago.
Prior to the lettings team moving in, the Kingsley Park Terrace branch underwent a refurbishment that took four weeks to complete and saw internal walls removed, floor levels changed, a new kitchen and toilet fitted, new data feeds installed, new floorcoverings laid and new desks and lighting put in place.
The newly refurbished sales and lettings branch was created after the lease at the company’s Bridge Street office came to an end and the need for the lettings team to move from a town centre location was growing.
Brian Evans, Sales and Lettings Director at Jackson Grundy, said: “We were starting to find that clients were going online to find suitable lets and then coming into the branch, phone in hand, to enquire. They would be paying for parking to pop in for a few minutes at a time for these short visits or to pick up or drop off keys. We were increasingly getting feedback from lettings clients that they didn’t want to come and see us in the town centre.
“This new space has undoubtedly improved the customer experience. We are only a mile away from the town centre but can now offer free street parking. Also, the sales and lettings teams really complement each other. Often, our landlords are also selling properties so there is a bit of crossover and we can also cover the phones for each other. We are also close to our Moulton and Abington branches.”
The lettings team is made up of seven people and headed up by Louise Gray, who has been with Jackson Grundy for more than ten years and has recently returned from maternity leave after having her second child. She is supported by Lettings Negotiator Cory Voysey; three property consultants – Michelle Francis, Marjana Lansdell and Marcj Deziurzynska; as well as Neil Marlow in accounts and administrator Tracey Porter.
Brian counts himself as a member of both the sales and lettings teams and has been with Jackson Grundy for 22 years. He started his career with the company as Branch Manager in Daventry and, over time, has worked at other branches, including Bridge Street, Moulton and Earls Barton.
He said: “There is a high percentage of people at Jackson Grundy, like me and Louise, who have been with the company for more than ten years, which is quite unusual in the industry as it tends to have a high staff turnover. “I think one reason for this is that we all work so well together. We have 11 branches across the county and are a leading estate agent in Northampton. Each branch boasts highly experienced staff who offer outstanding customer service, which can be demonstrated by the platinum Feefo certificate we received in February. “Amalgamating the sales and lettings teams has worked really well. Not only do we have a lovely fresh, new workplace and supportive colleagues, it has improved the customer experience even further, too.”
Jackson Grundy’s newly refurbished sales and lettings branch is located at 44 Kingsley Park Terrace, Northampton NN2 7HH. If you need help with letting a property, whether you have an extensive portfolio, a single investment property or just need to let your home temporarily, the lettings team at Jackson Grundy can help.
