As the football season approaches, teams around the country are gearing up for their pre-season preparations. In Milton Keynes, football fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming friendly matches at MK Dons, with encounters against Coventry City and Northampton Town on the horizon. MK Dons’ first pre-season friendly sees them face Championship side Coventry City. Scheduled to take place at Stadium MK on Tuesday July 25 with a 7.45pm kick-off, this fixture promises an exciting battle between two ambitious teams. Coventry, having narrowly missed out on Promotion to the Premier League in the previous season, will undoubtedly present a stern challenge for the Dons.
New Head Coach Graham Alexander will make his home debut, providing an opportunity for MK Dons players to test and impress against higher tier opposition. The second of two pre-season fixtures at Stadium MK, takes place on Saturday July 29 with a 3pm kick-off. The Dons welcome Northampton Town for an exhilarating encounter, packed with intense action and an electric atmosphere.
MK Dons v Northampton Town will be the last opportunity for fans to support the team before the start of the 2023/24 League Two season. It’s a season which will offer a new test for the Dons but one which will see some familiarity since Alex Gilbey committed his return to the club in June.
Tickets for both matches are on sale now from the box office and online, with discounts available for season ticket holders if bought in advance.
Season ticket holders can purchase tickets for the pre-season games at a rate of £10 adults, £8 over-65s, £8 under-25s, £5 under-21s and £1 under-14s, while general sale tickets are priced at £12 adults, £10 over-65s, £10 under-25s, £6 under-21s and £1 under-14s.
