Ride High, a local children’s charity that transforms the lives of vulnerable children, is inviting people to saddle up and take part in its Cycle Challenge this summer.
After the success of its first Cycle Challenge last year, it’s returning bigger and better for 2022 with new 50 and 100-mile road routes and a new 100-mile relay route. Starting and finishing at the charity’s home in central MK, riders will travel through villages and countryside in Buckinghamshire. There will be fuel stations and roaming support throughout, a celebratory barbecue, and medals, hand-decorated by the Ride High children, awaiting at the finish line.
The charity is inviting local businesses to enter teams, or individuals can join one of the guided groups led by an experienced cyclist. The event is designed to be a fun and friendly team challenge, as well as raise vital funds to help the charity continue their important work.
Ride High supports children whose challenging circumstances and traumas make everyday life a struggle. Horses are used as a vehicle to help transform their lives. Covid has had a huge impact on children’s mental health and wellbeing and the charity is seeing a surge in the demand for its services.
Now in its thirteenth year, Ride High has helped to transform the lives of over 1,700 children and young people.
