Milton Keynes’ most listened-to radio station recently celebrated another important landmark in its glittering history with the announcement of a new rebrand and logo.
MKFM, the biggest radio station in Milton Keynes and with thousands of year-round listeners and monthly online users, has recently undergone a bold new branding refresh.
The popular music and news hub revealed a new logo and image in the rebrand, as it looks forward to a new era in radio broadcasting and local news reporting, operating within the mighty Stadium MK group.
Based at the home of Milton Keynes Dons FC, the radio station also hosts fantastic community events for the city, including the most recent RNB Forever event at Arena MK. It is also responsible for a series of hugely popular business and charity gatherings, including the popular monthly Meet of MK.
After 14 years of MKFM, the Stadium MK Group were delighted to announce the fresh branding for the station, which is a very exciting moment in its illustrious history as it stands side by side with the football club.
Founded in 2011, the dedicated, independently owned local media organisation has been expanding and growing constantly, bringing in new listeners year after year.
Reaching almost every adult in Milton Keynes, the not-for-profit station is owned and run by a team of professionals whose goal is to shine a light on the city, its businesses and its residents.
MKFM reaches more than 84,000 listeners with 40 shows a week and has a whopping 395,287 monthly users, and this rebranding looks to extend that reach even further.
For a Milton Keynes resident, MKFM is the only radio station they’ll ever need, with the latest news and features from around the city to keep them up to date with everything going on in Milton Keynes and its surrounding towns and villages.
“The Stadium MK Group are delighted to announce MKFM’s fantastic new rebranding” said Neil Hart, Group CEO, on this exciting new rebrand. “The radio station is a keystone of this city, and we’re so grateful that it is based right here at this world-class facility, Stadium MK.
“This rebrand is another great moment in their fantastic history as a radio station, and I’m sure it will only help to bring in even more listeners from MK and beyond.
“We are extremely proud to have MKFM as part of the Stadium MK and MK Dons Group. I’m confident we’ll build on its continuing success, and we’re committed to delivering a strong future for the radio station and its listeners.”
Jo Ronan, Director, MKFM, added: “I’m delighted to launch our rebrand, standing side by side with the Stadium MK and MK Dons group, this is a fresh new era which I’m really excited to be part of.
“At MKFM, we don’t just know our area: we know our people too, and we’ve built strong links with them since 2011. We proudly serve a diverse and exciting community, and we’re delighted to support everyone, whether they are a resident, a business or a charity.
“Backed by our popular Meet of MK networking events, MKFM will continue to be the number one choice for our listeners, our advertisers and our supporters, and we look forward to many more years of working with them all.”
