January will see the long-awaited Northamptonshire Logistics Awards take place at the Park Inn Northampton, giving the sector an opportunity to get out, party and celebrate their successes.
Among the finalists in the awards, organised by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, are major names in the industry including Panther Logistics, C Butt Ltd and James & James Fulfilment, as well as smaller local organisations who play such an important part in the logistics sector in Northamptonshire, a sector that is so important in the county’s economic success.
The sponsors, who have continued their support through the intervening period, include headline sponsors MHA, as well as Brackmills Industrial Estate Ltd, Barclays, All Things Business, Wilson Browne Solicitors, UKWA, Logistics Solutions Group, Dachser, Panther Logistics, C Butt Ltd, SHEQ Group Ltd, Northampton College, Goodwill Solutions and the Road Haulage Association.
Tony Bellott, Chairman of the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, said: “When it came to finding a suitable date for the awards, and with the Black Friday and Christmas periods approaching, the obvious choice was to move the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards to January, when the rush is over. The logistics sector is always busy, but we hope the new date will give everyone a chance to have a night out and celebrate the outstanding finalists.
“We had some really high-quality submissions and achievements among the entries, indicating a real range of achievements across the sector, as well as some truly inspirational individuals.
“One of our judges gave us the feedback that they all deserve to win the award in their own right for so many reasons.”
The awards event, however, will see the outstanding candidates in each category pick up the title, along with a trophy once again designed specially by laser cutting specialists EES UK in Northampton. One company or individual from the evening’s winners will also be presented with the Chairman’s Special Award, sponsored by SHEQ Group Ltd.
