Wellingborough based Sign & Graphic Solutions have been selected for the mammoth supply and installation of window graphics to new student accommodation buildings in Leicester.
The project of some 7 buildings ranging from 8 to 15 stories and involves graphic application to over 2000 windows.
Sign & Graphic’s David Coles says the project has evolved working with the whole design & construction team including Client, Planning Authority, specialist window manufacturer Astraseal and Main Contractors, Northampton based Winvic.
Following media selection of some 15 differing copper effect vinyls the Mactac range was approved after initial site sampling during Autumn 2018.
With full installations of summer 2020 being delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak installations have commenced during October 2020 which has led to other challenges in the supply chain with products delayed in both Belgium and Germany. The scheme involves approximately 1800m2 of media all contour cut to size with over 750,000 die cut circles being removed to create the required design.

“We are generally a low-key company, quietly working with clients on both local and national locations. One day it could be graphics, another a McLaren Senna full vehicle wrap, a local shopfront, a major corporate identity or exhibition.”
