Enjoy a wild time with the local residents

Woburn Safari Park, which opened in 1970 and welcomes over 500,000 visitors each year, is an internationally recognised centre for conservation of endangered species, drawing crowds of visitors to experience an authentic safari adventure to rival a trip to the Serengeti.

Nestled at the heart of Woburn Safari Park’s Foot Safari and Leisure Area, The Safari Lodge provides one of the most fun and versatile venues in the region. Overlooking Desert Springs, home to a mob of meerkats, a prickle of porcupines and a family of yellow mongooses; The Safari Lodge transports delegates from the humdrum of the boardroom to the harmonies of the wild.

The Safari Lodge plays host to many extraordinary events, including meetings, AGMs, product launches, family fun days and team away days. Guests can enjoy the flexibility to divide the room, with space for break-out sessions. Delegates will appreciate all of the up-to-date facilities with free wifi and Apple TV. Standard AV comes included and the room layout can be tailored to suit individual businesses’ presentation styles, product demonstrations or for round-table meetings of all sizes.

The Safari Lodge catering team are committed to providing a menu to suit all tastes and requirements. The wide range of options available includes a formal seated dinner, hot fork buffet, traditional finger buffet lunch or a delicious BBQ cooked on the veranda. For something a little different, there’s also the option to enjoy a glass of Champagne and a bite on the veranda, while watching the sunset and enjoying the harmonious accompaniment of sounds from the surrounding wildlife. The fully licensed bar can be opened for any event, and a specific drinks package can be provided to suit any event, as well as a tea and coffee station to keep delegates refreshed through the day.

The Safari Lodge’s dedicated events team can further enhance any corporate event with a VIP Safari, up-close Elephant Encounter or exclusive use of the Swan Boats for delegates, creating the most memorable experience. The Safari Park is also the perfect place for a team building day out, with an on-site Go Ape course available, a Safari Survival adventure game and a separate activity site for giant inflatables, sports days and strategy games.

Whizzing through the trees on the zip wires at Go Ape is a sure-fire way of injecting a bit of spirit into team-building. All will receive a full safety brief before enjoying an adventure taking on rope bridges, crossings and Tarzan Swings in the woodland of Woburn Safari Park.

Try your hand at our team building adventure game Safari Survival and face some wild challenges in the Foot Safari as you meet some of the magnificent wild residents there. Delegates compete in small teams to win gold stars by completing a selection of trials with the animals.

The newest teambuilding option, Teambuilding with BITE, offers something truly unique where a group can get fully hands-on building enrichment items for a specific animal enclosure under the guidance of experienced professionals. With all PPE, tools and materials included, the leaders will brief delegates on a project such as building a puzzle feeder, climbing frame or similar item designed to benefit one of the many animal homes. These projects are tailored to fit into two-hour, half-day or full-day package options, and then once completed, these are taken to the enclosure and set up ready for the corporate group to see their handiwork in action at the end of the day.
