Enabled and accessible meeting suite opening at Milton Keynes Community Foundation Central MK Offices

Milton Keynes Community Foundation are opening a accessible and enabled meeting room in our offices in Central Milton Keynes. This ground floor, state of the art facility features specialist furniture and high spec IT and is available to hire for businesses with community groups able to get up to 70% discount on room hire.

The enabled room features floor to ceiling windows that create a light and airy feeling throughout. This enabled suite is part of a thriving and rapidly growing conference social enterprise that is available at Milton Keynes Community Foundation’s Acorn House and Margaret Powell House buildings.

Vanessa Bradley, Director of Operations at Milton Keynes Community Foundation says: “We are extremely proud as an organisation that we can help support so many different local community groups that are helping to enrich peoples lives in Milton Keynes. We are delighted that we now have facilities that can offer a meeting space for people within our community who require an enabled or accessible meeting space. We have worked with local community group MK CIL to ensure that the room is as accessible as possible.”

Booking a room through us offers a unique way to give back to your community. Every time you book a room, you are supporting local voluntary groups and charities who are working to make Milton Keynes a thriving place to live and work.

The surplus created from our room bookings go into our ‘Community Fund’ which focuses on supporting projects that have a positive lasting effect on communities in Milton Keynes. Recently, from our Community Fund, we have supported MK YiS (Milton Keynes Youth Information Service) to work in partnership with YMCA to develop a bespoke model of mental health counselling for their residents. Another example of a recently supported project is to fund the training for teachers and students from 6 local schools to become community and school leaders. These are just a couple of examples of the local projects that you are helping to support when you choose to book a room in our conference enterprise.

With 16 fully equipped conference suites and meeting rooms of different sizes, whether it be for a smaller one-to-one meeting room or a conference suite for up to 120 delegates, at MK Community Foundation we have the perfect space, whatever the event.

Our competitive commercial rates and discount offers for the voluntary, community and cultural sector, as part of the Community Foundation’s commitment to support and strengthen the community, mean that there is a space to suit most budgets.

In the heart of the city, only a 10minute drive from the m1 and a 10minute walk from the railway station, MK Community Foundation’s bright, fresh and flexible spaces are the perfect location for all your business and community group’s meeting needs.

Above all, we pride ourselves on our experienced and professional team, who are committed to making your event a complete success. They will cater for every requirement and take care of any eventuality, leaving you to truly enjoy your event.
