MK firm helps manufacturer launch anti-bacterial sanitiser

A leading manufacturer of anti-bacterial products has hired a Berkshire specialist advisory firm to help launch its sanitiser to fight Coronavirus. Charles Matcham of Milton Keynes based BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk will be advising International Water Solutions’ (IWS) on launching MYDIS, a powerful sanitiser which is effective against Coronavirus. The virucide and biocide is alcohol free, environmentally safe and hypoallergenic and can be dispensed as a hand sanitiser, hand-held fogger and fixed sanitising station.

In the longer-term Matcham will be contributing to developing UK and international markets for IWS’ anti-bacterial water treatment products. Matcham brings over 20 years’ of leadership and sales experience in senior roles, including technology and pharma, to IWS’ board. He has worked with SMEs up to blue chips such as BT, Fujitsu, and CGI, in the UK and internationally.

Essex-based IWS develops, manufactures and distributes anti-bacterial water treatment products for industries including farming, food processing and oil and gas. Its XZIOX® solution, a market-leading biocidal water disinfectant, approved by the Drinking Water Inspectorate, meets standards for human consumption and is eco-friendly.

BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk aims to disrupt the recruitment market by providing direct access to a talent pool of part-time executive directors for commercial, operations and CEO roles. It allows scale-ups, SMEs and their private equity backers to rapidly fill gaps in the management team, with no recruitment fees and at a significantly reduced cost against a full-time hire.

Al Sayed CEO of IWS says: “Charles brings new insights, contacts and experience which will be invaluable in helping us move the business to the next stage of its development.

“The emergence of Coronavirus makes our work even more pressing and we’re pleased to have secured Charles’ services at this critical time.”

Charles Matcham, the Bucks and Berks regional director for BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk says: “IWS has an impressive track record of developing anti-bacterial and anti-viral products and it’s primed for growth. My role will be to advise on managing a substantial scale-up while ensuring the values on which IWS’ success has been built remain in place.”

BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk was created by John Courtney, who has founded seven businesses and been listed as one of the country’s top 100 entrepreneurs.

He says: “Highly promising SMEs should not be held back because they can’t secure funding or expert advice. Our aim is to help businesses scale-up through accessing high calibre professionals to meet their budgets and timescales.”

BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk operates across the UK.
