Northamptonshire-based signage company launch Covid-19 protective screens

News | August 28, 2020

Northamptonshire-based signage company launch Covid-19 protective screens

To help prevent the spread of infection, xsign, based in Northamptonshire, has launched a range of protective screens that provide barrier shielding from airborne transmission of Covid-19.

The bespoke signage company recently launched an online shop to showcase their new screens, in a bid to help businesses support their staff through the current pandemic.

Matt Mills, Managing Director said: “We understand that some people may be feeling apprehensive about returning back to work in the hospitality and retail industry. We wanted to create something that made both workers and consumers feel safe whilst adapting to the new ‘normal’.

“A single sneeze has the potential to cause infection, so to counter this, we developed a range of clear screens that can be mounted to a variety of surfaces to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

Protection from airborne diseases through a protective screen – sometimes referred to as a sneeze guard – is one of the best and most effective ways of providing protection in retail, hospitality, and office environments. The protective screen provides a shield from coughs, sneezes, and physical contact.

Transmission of COVID-19 takes place primarily though airborne particles and from infected surfaces. Alongside protective screens, xsign now offer a range of signs that advise the best way to stop transmission, and highlights both frequent hand-washing and coughing or sneezing actions.

In a retail shop or a business with face to face contact, staff often need to pass goods or documents and take money in return. These screens cannot be unbroken and must have some means of allowing for transactions.

A range of five different screen types have been designed, each with their own fixing method so that they can form robust barriers to protect employees and customers in shops, and colleagues in workspaces.

The screens have different applications in the workplace, and different fixing methods, suitable for a range of mounting points, meaning that we can cater for a wide range of environments.

To purchase your protective screen, visit their online shop xsign.com or contact the team to discuss bespoke requirements.
