Building excellence recognition for housebuilder

Northamptonshire housebuilder Grace Homes’ Langdale development in Thorpe Langton triumphed over finalists from across the region to be awarded the title of Best Small New Housing Development in the East Midlands.

Unique developments such as Langdale are a specialism of Corby-based Grace Homes, with other new homes under way in similarly idyllic settings in Rugby, Wymondham and Swinford.

In keeping with the current environment, the black-tie event that is often referred to as ‘the Oscars of the construction industry’ was replaced by a virtual ceremony. Lorna Stimpson, Chief Executive of the LABC said:

“I firmly believe that one of the best ways to see more good work is to praise building excellence and publicly acknowledge companies, designers, site managers and trades people who go the extra mile because of the pride they have in their work.”

Welland Fields, another Grace Homes development, was also a finalist in the Best High Volume New Housing Development category. Henry Barney, Managing Director of Grace Homes, said: “Our team works hard to achieve a rigorous standard of construction and a high quality of finish in our homes, so it’s brilliant that this has been formally acknowledged again.”

Unlike other years, there will be no National Awards ceremony, making this accolade even more cherished. Team members of Grace Homes will still be brushing down the suits and polish the shoes, however, with a place in the finals of the SME National Business Awards for Service Excellence.

Grace Homes has been building homes in Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire since 1997. Over the years they’ve built hundreds of homes in many locations, but they still hold the same levels of passion and enthusiasm as when they first started. From thoughtful designs and creative use of space, through to rigorous standards of construction and uncommonly high quality of finish, the firm builds houses that people aspire to live in and are proud to call their home.

Grace Homes is currently building homes in Burton Latimer, Lubenham, Swinford, Rugby and Wymondham with new a project in progress at Hallaton.
