Northamptonshire’s leading chef is delivering the ultimate lockdown treat – a slap-up gourmet meal dropped off at your front door.
Danny Tompkins, who was named Chef of the Year at the 2019 Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards, is launching a new series of luxury three-course takeaways – giving you the chance to sample his award-winning food in the comfort of your own home.
With pubs and restaurants closed due to the latest lockdown, good food is proving hard to come by and Danny is stepping in to help ease the pressure on under-fire home cooks.
Danny, who previously worked as Earl and Countess Spencer’s personal chef, said: “This second lockdown has hit people hard – just when we hoped we were returning to normal it seems as though we are back to square one. We could all do with a bit of a pick-me-up and hopefully these delicious ‘dinner party in a box’ takeaways will be just the job.
“A high-quality meal with loved ones is one of life’s great pleasures and there’s no reason that shouldn’t still be possible.”
Danny has devised a menu showcasing his award-winning culinary talents, with diners able to select from starters including celeriac velouté, smoked pigeon breast and gambas pil pil.
Mains include beef cheek bourgignon, red lentil and spinach dhal and smoked haddock chowder while delicious desserts include lemon cheesecake mousse, kraken rum chocolate mousse and apple crumble.
Bookings are now available, priced £40 per person.
Danny is also planning a full Christmas dinner menu, which will see a sumptuous festive feast delivered to your door on Christmas Eve, complete with instructions on how to serve for the big day. More details will be released soon.
