Keeping a clean workplace can be good for business

News | November 30, 2020

Never has cleanliness been such a priority in the workplace, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

With many businesses investing in regular deep cleans and sanitising of their premises, the director of a cleaning company in Northampton is urging firms to make more of this investment and incorporate their cleaning activity into other areas of the business, such as an environmental policy or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.

Kalpesh Bhayani of Bright & Beautiful believes that many companies think about recycling their waste or reducing their plastic usage but may not have thought about the cleaning products used in their business.

“Bright & Beautiful uses eco-friendly and non-toxic cleaning products as standard as it fits in with our own values as a company,” said Kalpesh. “Our cleaning products are biodegradable, which means reduced emissions and less waste, as well as being cruelty-free. Using eco-products also brings other benefits to employees, such as no strong chemical smells and they are also unlikely to irritate those with allergies.

“If businesses were to use eco-friendly cleaning products or turn to companies who use these, such as Bright & Beautiful, this could also result in new business brought about from tender bids that show they are an environmentally conscious company or by winning a green business award. The opportunities and benefits are endless.”

With this in mind, Kalpesh and his team at Bright & Beautiful have launched a new eco-friendly fogging service to help protect workplaces from COVID-19 outbreaks.

The ‘fog’ is a disinfectant spray, which is 99.9% effective against COVID-19 and does not contain bleach, peroxide or chlorine.

“We’re particularly proud to launch this service because it will offer peace of mind to many of our clients and their employees and customers during the current pandemic,”

said Kalpesh.

“Our eco-friendly fog spray kills airborne viruses and those found on surfaces. On top of providing effective protection against COVID-19, our products are safe and do not contain the strong chemicals that often cause problems for people with breathing problems or allergies.

“We already work with a lot of organisations, including estate agents, theatres and national holiday let businesses, as our teams of two to three staff can clean properties thoroughly and quickly.

“We expect that our new service will be particularly attractive to schools, doctors and dental surgeries, as well as food establishments and factories because of its food safe credentials.”

Bright & Beautiful deploys teams of twos or threes who are trained to the highest standards to ensure high productivity levels and full accountability. Each team uses a fresh set of sterilised quality clean cloths and mops for every job.

“At Bright & Beautiful, our cleaners are directly employed by us, which means they have the training to deliver the highest standard of cleaning services in keeping with our strict cleaning and security procedures,”

added Kalpesh.

“We DBS check all of our employees and only hire people who have the attitude and skills to offer a fantastic level of service and fit with our friendly and respectful cleaning philosophy.”
