Hair salon celebrates lockdown heroes with the launch of its Star of the Shires competition

News | February 24, 2021

Northampton based hair salon Daniel Granger Hairdressing has launched a new competition to celebrate lockdown heroes and give back to those who have put themselves second during these challenging times.
This aptly named Star of the Shires competition, launched by the Abington Street award-winning salon, has been launched to recognise and celebrate all the selfless, extraordinary people who have put others first over the last 12 months and have made a difference to people’s lives during this pandemic.

The ‘Just for You Package’, will be awarded to one winner and has been pulled together to provide a day of luxury and VIP treatment. It includes:

  • A free cut, colour and finish from salon owner Daniel Granger himself
  • A full makeover from Aimee Garner (or hair products to the same value)
  • A meal for two at Nuovo Restaurant, Abington Street
  • One years’ worth of hair appointments at Daniel Granger Hairdressing

Daniel Granger, Owner, Daniel Granger Hairdressing said:

“This competition is our way of celebrating the selfless heroes who have gone the extra mile and put others first over the last year. Small differences and acts of kindness can make an extraordinary difference.

“It could be a neighbour that has been delivering essential food packages to vulnerable residents, a friend or family member that has been a rock to others in their time of need, or a work colleague that has raised essential funds to support charities or local community groups. We want to give back to these ‘Stars of the Shires’ and treat them to a day of luxury and pampering devoted just to them.”

Stewart Wright, Owner of Nuovo restaurant on Abington street said:

“We’re really happy to support such a fine cause from our neighbours at Daniel Granger Hairdressing and to recognise some of the selfless actions of these lockdown heroes.”

The competition now open for entries from the 11th February 2021, and people are invited to nominate their ‘Star of the Shires’ on the Daniel Granger Hairdressing competition page.

Entries close at 5pm on 19th March 2021 and the winner will be announced on 22nd March 2021.

There will also be 10 runner up prizes offered by Daniel Granger Hairdressing, including a £100 gift voucher and goody box.
