Estate agent launches mortgage advice service

News, Property | April 30, 2021

Estate agent launches mortgage advice service - Belvoir

An estate agent with branches in Corby and Kettering has launched an in-house mortgage advice service to help customers looking to purchase a property.

Belvoir, which is based on George Street in Corby and Newland Street in Kettering, is working in partnership with Narcisz Sweeney, an independent advisor with Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB), to deliver the new service, which will offer practical advice on the mortgages currently available on the market to prospective homeowners.

As well as advice on mortgages, remortgages, right-to-buy and shared ownership, the service will also help homeowners access later-life lending like equity release, second charge mortgages and commercial mortgages. Narcisz – who speaks English, Hungarian, Slovak and Czech – will also be on hand to help customers understand the different types of mortgages available, from repayment and interest-only, to shared equity and buy-to-let and give advice on the right solutions for them based on their individual financial situations.

Award-winning Narcisz has been in financial services for 23 years and worked for NatWest for 16 years prior to joining MAB as a mortgage and protection adviser.

She said: “I’m really pleased to be supporting Belvoir’s customers with the launch of this new service, which perfectly rounds off the suite of services already offered by Belvoir associated with renting and buying property, including advice to investors on how to make most of their portfolios.

“Mortgage Advice Bureau is a multi-award-winning mortgage intermediary and specialist network offering mortgages from over 90 lenders, so we have access to detailed information on thousands of mortgages and can often offer exclusive deals to our clients, which Belvoir customers will also now benefit from.”

Belvoir Corby managing director Bobby Singh said: “We are delighted to welcome Narcisz to the team and to be able to offer this new, vital service for home buyers. Now we can give tips and tools to help our customers work out what they can afford, as well as useful advice on the mortgage products currently out there. We can help with affordability assessments and agreements in principle to put our clients in the best possible position to buy their property based on their unique set of circumstances. Narcisz can even offer solutions for clients with less than perfect credit histories.

“The fact that Narcisz can speak several languages will also be a massive asset to Belvoir as she can talk about the complex world of mortgages in the client’s own language if their first language is not English, allowing for simpler explanations and taking the time to make sure clients fully understand each step along the process.

“We would encourage anyone struggling to understand mortgage documents or looking for helpful and succinct advice to give us a call.”
