Firm welcomes new recruits to award-winning team

News, Recruitment & HR | June 1, 2021

An expert HR consultancy has taken on two new members of staff, to further strengthen their award-winning team.

HR Solutions, which supplies outsourced HR support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has welcomed Rebecca Gormley and Harriet Grantham to its head office in Kettering.

Rebecca has been appointed as the firm’s first-ever marketing manager. In this newly created role, she will be focused on developing and implementing the company’s marketing strategy and growing its digital footprint through brand awareness. Rebecca will be responsible for and work closely with existing staff to promote services to HR Solutions’ client base.

Rebecca brings a wealth of business-to-business marketing experience to HR Solutions as well as a creative eye, having recently completed an extensive renovation to the 18th century cottage she shares with her fiancé.

HR Solutions CEO Greg Guilford said: “We are excited about the appointment of Rebecca to help us increase awareness to SMEs of the benefits of HR and Health and Safety outsourced services.”

Harriet Grantham will be taking the role of HR advisor, delivering HR support to a range of clients on a wide variety of employment issues and HR projects such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, resourcing, and TUPE cases.

Level 7 CIPD qualified and with years of valuable experience in human resources, Harriet will be an excellent resource for clients using the HR Solutions helpline.

Greg Guilford added: “We welcome these new hires after what has been a turbulent year for a lot of businesses, we see these roles as helping us to expand our support to our clients as we all move forward.”

The company was recently recognised for its work in supporting businesses through the last turbulent year through the provision of expert outsourced HR consultancy when HR operations manager Sue Watson was named a finalist in the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards’ Lockdown Leader category for keeping her team motivated and informed during the pandemic whilst continuing to deliver a first-class service to clients.  HR Solutions also won the hotly contested Professional Services Award at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards in February.

Despite stiff competition from fellow finalists Wilson Browne Solicitors, Cottons Accountants, Metro Bank and Towergate Insurance Brokers, HR Solutions was crowned the winner after impressing judges not only with its three recent mergers and acquisitions and a year-on-year growth of 20%, but for its quick response during the pandemic to learn new legislation and rules around furlough and other COVID-19 related measures, as soon as they were announced, to help and advise clients.

Greg added: “There is no doubt that our team has gone above and beyond over the last year to support our clients during what has been an incredibly tough year for a lot of businesses. And we have also managed to grow the business too, through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions, which has been tricky to manage at times given the lockdowns and restrictions brought about by remote working.”
