Could You Run the Café At Great Denham Country Park?

Bedford Borough Council is looking for someone to open the café at Great Denham Country Park, bringing a fantastic venue to life.

Great Denham County Park runs along the River Great Ouse, with a children’s playground, football pitches and a games areas, along with cycle and jogging routes.

The ‘Archers Rest Café’ facility is in a central location overlooking the park, playground and sports facilities with indoor and outdoor seating, and a fully fitted kitchen and store area.

The tender for this café lease is now live, and available via the Council’s system [hyperlink] or by visiting https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder, searching for ‘Great Denham’ and clicking on ‘Lease Opportunity Great Denham Archers Rest Café’. This tender will close on Monday 5 July.

Interested parties are also invited to an open day at the café on Wednesday 23 June. More details can be found in the tender document.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said “If you or someone you know may be interested in taking on this opportunity to bring a café to Great Denham Country Park, and join a number of successful and popular park cafes across our Borough, please do take a look at the tender and come along to the open day.

“Bedford Borough is fortunate to have many beautiful and well-loved parks, and it will be great to see this café open and bring a great service to this park for local residents and visitors.”
