Be a part of something special

At the end of a year that has showcased the vital role played by the logistics sector, it’s time for those that make things happen to stand up and take a bow.

Just as winners of past Northamptonshire Logistics Awards have seen their lives and businesses transformed after picking up the coveted titles, the finalists in this year’s event can expect equal cause for celebration, especially as this year’s ceremony promises to be the biggest and best ever.

With ticket sales for the awards night in September exceeding all expectations, the organisers are hoping for a record-breaking entry to go forward as finalists that will truly impress the audience at the glittering presentation evening.

Entries close on July 12, and anyone who would like to see their firm, teams or individuals recognised at the celebrations in September is being urged to get nominations in very soon.

With the awards having been cancelled last year due to the pressures on the logistics sector of the pandemic, it is hoped that the awards night at the Park Inn, Northampton, on Friday, September 10 will be one to remember.

Organised by The Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, entry is free and individuals can nominate themselves, a colleague or a business. Everyone on the final shortlist will also receive a free ticket to the awards night.

Headline sponsors MHA MacIntyre Hudson lead a raft of sponsors, including Goodwill Solutions, Fortec Distribution Network, ACS Recruitment, NN1 Personnel, Wilson Browne Solicitors, Brackmills Industrial Estate BID, Travis Perkins, Encore Recruitment, Verlingue, Linde Materials Handling, Certas Energy, C Butt Ltd, Cawleys and All Things Business, keen to recognise the efforts of the logistics sector in Northamptonshire generally and, over the past 18 months or so, in keeping the country running during lockdowns and restrictions.

Tony Bellott, Chairman of the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, said:

“From the response we have seen so far, this is going to be a fantastic event, the industry is ready to celebrate.

“Over the past year or so we’ve heard so much about individuals and teams have gone the extra mile – sometimes literally – to keep the economy on the front foot and deliver excellent customer service. Winning one of these awards can be life changing – the perfect opportunity to showcase your business, your staff or you as an individual.

“We’re hoping everyone, from those relatively new to the sector through to the biggest providers in the region, will put themselves forward and help make this a very special evening indeed.”

Justyna Sodel, Director of former winners and sponsors NN1 Personnel, said: “It felt fantastic for us to come away with two awards on the night. I was delighted to see the hard work and dedication of everyone at NN1 Personnel being recognised in this way. We treat our drivers with great respect and in return we receive their commitment and loyalty, which helps us deliver a first-class service to our clients.”

Included in the 12 categories are Emerging Talent of the Year, Growth Company of the Year, Logistics Temporary Staff of the Year and a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Award. Once the entries are closed, the organisers are planning an in-person event to reveal the finalists on Wednesday, July 12 in preparation for the awards night in September.
