A top UK sleep practitioner, Keto diet specialist and rehabilitation Pilates expert will be among the speakers at a family health and wellness event in Northampton this weekend – and tickets are still available.
The ‘Family Wellbeing Fair’ on Sunday 18th July at Becket’s Park in Northampton has been organised by Soo Yoga’s Kristina Rihanoff, and local Pilates instructor and success coach, Suneil Khakhar (otherwise known as ‘Professor Pilates’), to raise money for local cancer charity, The Lewis Foundation.
Yoga, meditation, sound baths and a whole range of outdoor fitness classes for adults and children are also planned to help people of all ages combat Covid-related anxiety through health and wellness activities.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into our line-up so that there is something for everyone in these challenging times,” said Kristina, former Strictly Come Dancing professional, choreographer who runs Northamptonshire’s only family fitness centre – Soo Yoga – with her partner and former rugby player, Ben Cohen MBE.
“We have some of the best health and wellbeing experts delivering presentations throughout the day, including ‘The Sleep Fixer’ and Mark Brereton, who is a well-known Keto diet expert. We also have all our amazing classes, kids activities and a creche to give it a real family-friendly vibe.”
Suneil Khakhar, founder of ‘Professor Pilates’, is co-organising the fair and has over 15 years in personal training, sports therapy and Pilates for rehabilitation.
He will also be among the specialist speakers, adding: “Our Family Wellbeing Fair is all about raising money for a worthwhile cause and educating people about the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
“Children under 16 go free, but adult day passes are selling fast so we’re urging people to be quick. People can still attend the marketplace area at no cost, but we would hate for anyone to miss out on the chance to take part in all the fun activities and listen to the speeches.”
The event will be the first of its kind in the county since Covid restrictions started lifting. Northamptonshire producers selling natural food, drinks, jewellery, clothing, or other health-related products will also be in the marketplace, which is free entry.
£2 from each ticket sale will be donated to The Lewis Foundation and a raffle with top wellness-related prizes will also generate funds.
