Lockdown photo book story

News | July 28, 2021

Lockdown photo book story at Caldecotte Arms

Freddie Guilmard had a vision back in 1999 to create a photo book for the millennium. Now 21 years later a lockdown book has come to fruition, he teamed up with Jane Russell Photography and Tim Lee to make it happen.

In “collaboration” with Freddie Guilmard, Tim, Jane and the Milton Keynes Business community have created a limited edition photo book filled with images that represented life in lockdown for the people in Milton Keynes.

Funny, poignant, sad & inspiring, “Life Through a Lens” brings to life a gamut of emotions. Looking through the photos in this book you may feel a spark of recognition in the experiences and situations you see. It covers everything from toilet rolls to cooking and walking in the country side.

Life Through a Lens is a unique set of lockdown photographs taken by local business people all wrapped up beautifully in a book designed by Sarah Henderson of Yolk Design, now being sold to help the charity MK Snap.

All profits from the book will be donated to MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs Advancement Project) who sadly lost 3 young learners during the COVID pandemic – Romini, Isi & Gemma.

The creators are very grateful to their sponsors which include Suzuki GB PLC, Firstbase, Lisa Milton of All Things Business UK, Patrick Mulhall, Matthew Reynolds of It’s What’s Next IT, John Pratt of Bidwell Accountancy Limited, Sarah Henderson and Helen Gent, Copywriter.

It is great to see so many Collaborate MK members contribute photos for this wonderful book where 70 people sent in their memories from lockdown.

So far over £2,000 has been raised for MK Snap
