Autumn camps carry on where summer left off

News, Sport | September 28, 2021

Rugby young boy play training mat

Following a fantastic summer provision throughout August, Bedford Blues Community are delighted to announce details for the next rugby camp to be held across October half-term.

Hosted once again at Goldington Road, the three-day camp will run between Tuesday October 26 and Thursday October 28 as Blues Community continue to showcase and deliver rugby coaching under Play the Blues Way principles.

For ages between six and 12 years old, with all ability levels welcomed, the price of the full three-day camps, from 10am to 3pm each day, is £70 per person. To ensure these camps run in a safe and secure manner for all youngsters and our coaching staff, the club cannot offer the option of attending just one day as everyone will be placed into a group which will remain constant across the three days.

Blues Community continue to monitor the latest guidelines from the Government and the RFU in accordance with Bedford Blues’ COVID risk management plan. For the safety of all participants, certain preventative COVID measures will remain in place including readily available hand sanitising stations and staggered toilet breaks.

These camps will work with the RFU regulations to support player development and re-introduce key elements of rugby which were missing throughout the pandemic and first reintroduced throughout the summer.

Blues Community will do all they can to ensure that groups for each camp are made up with appropriate ages; these camps will look to develop the individual player and support their own development, however we cannot guarantee age groups will be perfectly consistent. All attendees are asked to bring their own lunch and water bottle.

There is a discount available to any Bedford Junior Blues members on the three-day camp, therefore the cost will be just £60, which can be redeemed once using the unique code from the appropriate BJB age group coach.
