Lunch with the legends

Food & Drink, News, Sport | December 1, 2021

Northampton Saints’ hospitality offering has broken new ground once again, with guests now able to enhance their matchday experience by dining with a club legend at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

New for the start of the 2021/22 season, the Players’ Table allows Saints supporters and their guests to enjoy an afternoon in the stadium’s Directors Lounge with a twist, as they are joined by some of Northampton’s greatest-ever players.

Former England captain Dylan Hartley, Jon Sleightholme, and Christian Day have already graced the Players’ Table so far this season, with guests able to enjoy their company and share unique memories from their playing days over a locally sourced, seasonal four-course meal.

“We were delighted to launch this new hospitality experience at Franklin’s Gardens at the start of this season,”

Said Edwin Turnham, Northampton Saints’ Head of Sales.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Saints, so we are excited to be able to extend our hospitality offering by enabling our guests to share a pre-match meal and watch the game in the company of some of our Club legends.

“We’re being joined every match by former internationals, Saints captains, record scorers and players with hundreds of Northampton appearances under their belts – this is a truly special opportunity for die-hard rugby fans to get a unique perspective on the action on the pitch, as well as hearing some classic tales from years gone by!”

Priced between £300 and £450 per person (plus VAT) and providing space for up to ten guests, the exclusive matchday hospitality experience incorporates a number of key benefits including complimentary drinks throughout the matchday, a seasonal cheese course and premium match seating.  VIP car parking is also included on the day, along with a match programme, team sheet and wifi available within the exclusive Directors Lounge space.

Edwin added:

“At Saints we have a range of options to suit any budget – from our Heroes Restaurant and Captain’s Club all the way up to more premium offerings like the Michael Jones Champions Suite, Directors Experience and the Tunnel Club.

“Our hospitality is on sale all year round to improve the experience further for our customers and ensure no-one misses out on some of the finest hospitality in English rugby!

“We look forward to welcoming both existing and new supporters over the months ahead.”
