Helping businesses grow a strong brand

Creative Marketing, News | March 1, 2022

A Northamptonshire-based graphic designer has been named as an advisor for national start-up support service Enterprise Nation.

Trudie Avery of Avery Creative – often referred to as the Logo Lady – is one of a team of experts appointed to advise owners of new businesses on their area of expertise. These areas include business planning, marketing, tax and VAT, social media and sales.

Trudie, who has been working in graphic design and branding for more than 25 years, will work with business owners from all over the UK to help them to start and grow their business with a strong brand. This support will include offering free one-to-one online calls, speaking at events organised by Enterprise Nation, and uploading useful free content, blogs and videos, to the enterprisenation.com website.

Her appointment as Enterprise Nation Advisor comes less than a year after she capitalised on her nickname and created www.logolady.com, a website that takes users through a series of modules to help them to understand who they are as a brand and who they want to attract before creating a logo. She is also the resident branding expert for the Northamptonshire Business and IP Centre, hosting free branding webinars for start-up businesses in the county and publishing regular tips videos on LinkedIn and You Tube, as well as speaking at various events.

Trudie said:

“I have worked with so many start-up businesses over the years and have started businesses myself. One of the first things on the ‘to do’ list of a new business owner is to create a logo. This is often done without too much thought and some people even use stock images to get started, with a view to changing things later on. I am keen to help would-be entrepreneurs and new business start-ups by showing them that creating a brand is so much more than this and that by thinking about their values, what they want their business to be known for and who they want to work with, they can create their own unique, authentic brand that will naturally attract their ideal client.

“I’m so passionate about working with new businesses on their logo and branding and making them really dig deep in a discovery call at the beginning of their journey and then watching them take off and grow and fly with their new brand and identity. I can’t wait to get started with Enterprise Nation!”
